About Simon

Simon Jenner’s education began when he left school with virtually no qualifications. And learned to fly instead. Discovering poetry though was dangerous: and forestalled a career in airframes and engines. He took a PhD at Cambridge in Oxford Poetry of the 1940s: having failed ‘O’ Level English Literature twice.

My picks

  • “Les Liaisons Dangereuses” National Theatre Lyttelton

  • “The Ballad of Johnny & June” Theatre Royal Brighton

  • “John Proctor is the Villain” Royal Court Theatre
