About Simon

Simon Jenner’s education began when he left school with virtually no qualifications. And learned to fly instead. Discovering poetry though was dangerous: and forestalled a career in airframes and engines. He took a PhD at Cambridge in Oxford Poetry of the 1940s: having failed ‘O’ Level English Literature twice.

My picks

  • Sarah Ruhl “Eurydice” New Venture Theatre, Brighton

  • Euripides “Medea” Coronet Theatre, Notting Hill

  • James Graham “Boys From the Blackstuff”, Theatre Royal Brighton
